Simply think how often a good hotel or restaurant can be spoilt by poor service?
Your staff may, by being sympathetic and apologising, make your client forget about the stain on her silk blouse and a small effort on the part of the waiter to speak your language may make your cold soup taste warmer. Enhance your business and let your staff be those able to offer not only service but also communication.

Europe is one of the most attractive tourist areas, its multicultural diversity and its artistic inheritance are unequalled in the world; tourism plays a major role in creating growth and jobs and promotes regional development; it is one of the largest and fastest expanding European economic sectors. In order to improve the quality of service and achieve higher levels of job satisfaction in the sector it is necessary to improve the quality and accessibility of education and training.

The e-CLIENT project is specifically designed to help improve communication in other languages for low skilled workers dealing face-to-face with clients; recent statistics show that in the participant countries, highly experienced in Tourism such as Greece, Spain or Bulgaria with emergent growth in the sector, all suffer from staff insufficiently trained in foreign languages.

The project’s main aim is to create a tool (virtual language simulator) in 6 languages, which facilitates language learning for low-skilled workers in the tourism sector.
